Broadband Voice
SBC are implemented as apart of the strategy to offer Voice over IP and multimedia IP services to residential broadband customers. In this role SBCs provide the following key functions.

- Support multimedia services such as Video

- Session Admission Control based on various SLAs
- Security against theft of service and DOS attack
- Flexible deployment – signalling and media can be separated
Navtel Solution:
- 256,000 unique endpoints, 128,000 RTP streams and thousands of calls per second from a single chassis to emulate large scale customer deployments in other to verify the Scalability, Performance and Reliability of an SBC
- NAT emulation to test the SBC capability to traverse NATs and Firewall
- Flexible VLAN support to test the ability of the SBC to host multiple overlapping IP address space
- TOS/DSP marking on a per emulated subscriber to emulate various types of services or to differentiate Service Level agreements for residential customers.
- Transparent support of two distinct implementations of the SBC where Signalling and Media can be on same or separate IP address.
- Theft of service emulation to test the SBC ability to perform Bandwidth Policing on a per RTP session basis
- Mix of codec support to emulate various types of subscriber endpoints
- Per Codec, VLAN and TOS statistics views
- Media and Path Verification to verify Routing, TOS remarking and Theft of Service Protection capabilities of the Router
- QoS, and VQT analysis for verifying SBC does not impact the media streams
- High Call generation & Registration message rates to test the SBC ability to perform Signalling Rate limiting
