The powerful 10 Gigabit interface module is designed to provide wire rate data capture, monitoring and transmission, while performing real time simultaneous analysis of the key OSI layers for both LAN & WAN technologies.

This module provides an SC physical interface for Monitoring & Generation functionality on a 10Gig Ethernet LAN interface, 10Gig WAN Unframed Data Payload interface, 10Gig WAN with a Ethernet Payload interface or a 10Gig WAN with a GFP-F / Ethernet Payload interface for the InterWatch platform. The interface module also support DCC functionality to perform GMPLS in-band testing.

It operates at 9953.28 Mbps for OC192c/STM64 WAN or 10.3 Gbps for LAN using a 1310 or 1550 nm single mode optical fibre.

Up to 3 10Gig modules can be plugged into the InterWatch M7 unit, 7 10Gig modules on the InterWatch 96000, allowing comprehensive system load testing across multiple ports simultaneously and in-service full-duplex monitoring.

The 10 Gig Multi-Technology module provides application testing support for leading 10Gig wire rate real time Monitoring (utilizing a Ethereal Decode functionality), IP Traffic Loading, BER testing and GMPLS Control & Dataplane testing.

Combined with the powerful capabilities of the InterWatch Performance & Verification System, the modular architecture of the 10 Gig Multi-Technology interface module provides equipment manufactures and network operators a world-class testing solution during the network development and verification process.
