Position: Product Manager
|

| Reports to: Director of Marketing |
| The Product Manager is responsible for setting strategic direction for Voice over IP Test solutions and managing the business relationships with Navtel customers. This position requires a hands-on, enthusiastic management style to motivate and lead the R&D engineering and sales team. |
|
Responsibilities:
|
- Defines and manages product line strategy for existing products, product line extensions and additional markets that meet customer needs and Navtel’s business objectives.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive business plan that includes: sales, product promotions, customer support plans, competitive analysis, product futures, services, contribution margins and ROI targets.
- Manages the relationships with strategic equipment manufacturer’s network operators to ensure that their testing requirements are met and that Navtel product strategy is inline with these customers’ product roadmap.
- Represents Navtel in key industry organizations such as the MSF and IETF.
- Manages the R&D Voice over IP product development activities to ensure that product requirements are met.
- Provides high-level support to Navtel’s sales team including customer presentations and product training.

Qualifications:
|
- Experience in creating and making presentations to a large audience.
- Knowledge of industry standardization organizations.
- Knowledge of industry Voice over IP protocols such as SIP, Megaco, MGCP, & PacketCable.
|
|
Technical Skills Required:
|
- LAN and WAN interworking protocols
- TCP/IP
- Megaco
- MGCP
- SIP
- SS7
|
|
Personal Qualities:
|
Technical knowledge at the bit level of the following protocols is a plus:
- Solid oral and written communications skills along with presentation and influencing skills
- A high degree of self-motivation, drive and sense of urgency
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills
- A self starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
