Position: Application Software Developer

This software developer must have exceptional knowledge and experience in developing software applications, as well as an excellent knowledge of UNIX. The ability to work well in a development team is essential. Responsibilities will include all phases of product development: requirements definition, design, code, test, debug, and maintenance. This self-motivated, results-oriented engineer should possess a strong desire to learn and grow with a complex product, have a record of increasing responsibility, and therefore will play a key role in the continued success of our products.

Experience:
|
- 1 to 3 years related software engineering experience
|
|
Required Skills:
|
- Programming Languages: TCL/TK, C/C++, Java
- Debugging tools: GNU tool set
- Operating Systems: UNIX (Solaris-x86, Linux)
- Experience with a source/version control system
- Object-oriented Programming and Methodology: analysis/design/implementation
- Understands software development life cycle (design phase, implementation phase and testing phase).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to write necessary documents such as functional specifications and design specifications.
- Documentation tools: MS Office, Visio

Desirable Skills:
|
- Has used a defect tracking system (e.g. HEAT, TRACK, CMVC)
- Networking, telecommunications, data communications experience (protocols, ATM, TCP/IP, SIP, MEGACO, MGCP, NCS, MPLS)
|
